Obverse:  Revolutionary and national hero Vasil Levski (18 July 1837 – 18 February 1873, founded the Internal Revolutionary Organisation, and sought to foment a nationwide uprising through a network of secret regional committees) at left, Liberty with flag, sword and lion at upper center right.  His legendary quotes written besides his portrait in Bulgarian:

Description:
Obverse: Revolutionary and national hero Vasil Levski (18 July 1837 – 18 February 1873, founded the Internal Revolutionary Organisation, and sought to foment a nationwide uprising through a network of secret regional committees) at left, Liberty with flag, sword and lion at upper center right. His legendary quotes written besides his portrait in Bulgarian: "If I shall win, I shall win for the entire people. If I shall lose, I shall lose only myself" signed Vasil Levski. Reverse: Vasil Levski monument in Sofia and his writings at center right. Image of a gun, a knife and a Christian cross on top of a book. These were part of the initiation ritual of the Internal Revolutionary Organisation (IRO) which was established by Vasil Levski.
